Bowl a thon

We spent Saturday afternoon at the bowling alley to complete the Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl a thon. This year, each of our kids headed up their own teams and we had a great turn out! Thank you to those of you who donated to our teams, if you haven't had the chance we can accept donations until March 20th! Thank goodness for bumpers, or it may have been a long afternoon!!

A girly day.....

The girls and I went to Barnes and Noble today to meet the author who wrote the latest American Girl book. The girls were impressed to have a "real" autograph and are quickly reading thru their books. After, we had to make a trip down to Build A Bear....because they've been by it a million times, but NEVER have had the chance to buy one. Family Fun in the Snow!

The roads are finally clear....Brian dug out the driveway...we headed to the Alvamar Hill to do some sledding! Someone packed a snowboarding ramp into the snow, which was quite the hit to try and jump. Everyone (but me) in the family did it on a sled, multiple times....when Brian can't get out of bed in the morning, he'll get no sympathy from me! Christmas 2009

Christmas was a tad different this year, due to the weather. We celebrate Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with Brian's. Due to the incoming snow storm, we decided to bring Christmas with us and spend the night with Grammy and Grampy. Brennan turns 13!

We celebrated Brennan's 13th birthday on December 20th. He's proud to proclaim, now that he's 13 he can be LAZY...apparently he's been 13 for a while?!? Both sets of Grandparent's, Kris and Jessica joined us for pizza, cake and ice cream.

Italian Cookies!

The girls and I went to Rosie's today to learn how to make Italian cookies. It was fun to learn about a family tradition, only wish Cailey and I could have stayed longer, but we had to leave due to her basketball game. Rylie stayed behind and we caught up with her, Colleen and Marie later who transferred Roo and all the yummy cookies to our car. What a fun experience!

Thanksgiving 2009

While we weren't frolicking on a beach nor skiing down a mountain, we had a nice Thanksgiving day. We started off with our 3rd Annual Pilgrimage - 5K run/walk at 8 AM. Brennan and Cailey both completed the race, Brennan in 28 minutes and Cailey in 43. Roo...getting up and exercising at 8am when it's 32 degrees out is not her thing! Happy Halloween!

Thinking Brennan would be too big for Halloween, he surprised me by wanting to be a Transformer for Halloween! (Secretly, I think he was looking for his Megan Foxx to join him!!). Being that they don't make costumes for a small adult, I had to buy the biggest one I could and then cut it apart to sew on to a pair of sweats. SOOO, I've spent the last 2 days whip stitching these pieces to sweats and may not be able to move my hands tomorrow but he's in costume!

Party in the USA - Miley Cyrus!

After waiting for months and a delay of two weeks due to Miley being sick, we FINALLY made it to the Sprint Center last night for the concert. A new concept they were trying, ticketless concerts, was a MESS. After waiting to get in the Sprint Center, we had to wait in another mass of lines to get Grammy's card swiped and thru the gate. Regardless of what Ticketmaster and Sprint say, it did NOT work well! The girls were excited, singing along and taking it all in.
